No. All processing, decoding, and encoding happens directly in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your files remain on your device.
If you export to WAV, the quality remains lossless. If you choose MP3, the audio is re-encoded, which involves some compression, but we use high-quality settings (192kbps).
Since the file is loaded into your computer's RAM, very large files (over 150MB) might slow down or crash the browser on mobile devices or older computers.
